Cake Poker is giving players a chance to win a seat to the World Poker Tour (WPT) North American Poker Championship in the fall of 2008. This 5 th annual event is the only WPT tournament to be held in Canada. It is hosted by the beautiful Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Last year’s World Poker Tour North American Championship winner took home over $1.3 Million for his first place finish.
Players can win a seat to the famous championship event through qualifiers running every Sunday at Cake Poker. Each Cake Poker WPT prize pack is worth $12,000 and include the following two:

The WPT satellites and qualifiers run from Sunday July 20 th to September 28 th at Cake Poker. To find the satellite tournaments click on the events tab within the tournaments. You will find the complete schedule of the Cake Poker WPT gold chip and cash satellites.
Here is an overview of the satellite schedule:
WPT Satellites – These are run daily and will include cash and gold chip buy-ins. One WPT Final seat will be awarded for every $215 in the prize pool.
WPT Quarter Final – These quarter final tournaments are run daily starting at $5 with re-buys and add-ons. One seat to the WPT semi-final tournament will be awarded for every $40 in the prize pool.
WPT Semi-Final – These semi-final tournaments are held every Sunday at 5:30 pm (ET) for a $40 buy-in. One WPT final seat will be awarded for every $215 in the prize pool.
WPT Final – The WPT Final qualifier tournament will be held every Sunday at 8:00 pm (ET) for a $215 buy-in or won through the various satellites listed above. One WPT North American prize package will be awarded for every $12,000 in the prize pool.
